SCOPE
CONTEXT
Code Chrysalis's brand is playful, accessible, and empowering. Their immersive bootcamps, career-focused curriculum, and inclusive culture foster a supportive environment where anyone can embrace their potential and create a meaningful impact in the tech world.
Their marketing website was built with ReactJS from scratch, but mostly needed copy changes to update, requiring a technical person to design and code it. As the Web Lead, I was responsible for building and managing the ReactJS website, but it began to be tedious and mundane, and I knew the process could be optimized.
THE GOAL
Remove engineering bottleneck to free up time for content creation and easier updates
Migrate 28 pages to Webflow and Hubspot FAQ
Optimize SEO for multi-lingual pages
THE PROCESS
I led the transfer of the company's website from code-based CMS solutions to no-code solutions: Webflow and Hubspot.
Planning & Assessment - Identified critical content for immediate migration and created a timeline for each page to be migrated.
Data Extraction - Downloaded page content into Notion database entries.
Component Mapping - Utilized Webflow's import tools for structured content (CSV, XML) via the Editor.
Styling and Functionality Reimplementation - Reimplement interactive features using Webflow's interactions panel or custom code.
Testing & QA - A native English speaker and Japanese speaker not on our team parsed through content and gave feedback. We implemented changed and launched within a month of project creation.
RESULT
Post migration to Webflow, the marketing team and other editors were able to deploy changes directly to the website.
The transfer allowed Code Chrysalis to take advantage of the built-in SEO features and as a result, organic search SEO increased by 200% the following month after deployment.
The Hubspot FAQ and Chatbot integrations lead to a reduction in onboarding questions, emails and more informed clients.
